About
Piaget

The Founder

Despite Piaget’s widespread reputation as a jewelry house, discerning collectors know that the brand has deep roots in the world of horology. Founded by George-Edouard Piaget, the first watches to be produced under the Piaget label date back to 1874.

The company remained in family ownership until the late 1980s, with the third-generation Piaget brothers Gérald and Valentin focusing their efforts around mechanical innovation; and Gérald’s son Yves orchestrating the brand’s expansion in North America, with strategic initiatives such as the “Piaget Society.”

Today, Yves continues to play an advisory role at Piaget, while day-to-day operations are presided over by CEO Benjamin Comar.
